A Nurturing, Christ-Centered Christian Preschool in Kalamazoo for Families
where learning begins
Heritage Christian Academy offers a nurturing Christian preschool in Kalamazoo for children ages 3–5, where learning begins in a safe, caring, and Christ-centered environment. Families can choose from flexible full-day options designed to support young learners, with intentionally small class sizes and a 1:7 teacher-to-student ratio that allows each child to be known and supported. Our state-licensed, state-certified program blends early phonics, foundational math, Bible time, and guided play in a warm classroom setting. Students also enjoy specialized instruction in Physical Education and Music, providing a well-rounded, Christ-centered introduction to learning that prepares them for Kindergarten and beyond.
State-Certified Early Childhood Teachers
Our Preschool classrooms are led by state-certified early childhood teachers who bring both training and experience into every moment of the day. We intentionally maintain low student-to-teacher ratios so every child is known, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. In a safe, nurturing, Christian environment, students develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning under the guidance of educators who care deeply about their growth.
A day in our classroom
Each day in our Preschool classroom is designed to help children feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. Through a balance of structure, play, and guided instruction, students grow in confidence and independence while exploring new ideas in a calm, nurturing environment. Our daily rhythms create a sense of security that allows learning to flourish.
Faith-centered learning
Jesus is our Savior and the source of our security. When children understand where their safety comes from, they are free to grow, explore, and learn with confidence. In our Preschool classrooms, faith is woven naturally into each day, helping students develop kindness, courage, and respect as they learn to listen well, take healthy risks, and treat others with love.

Parent Story
A Parent’s Perspective
We found our way to Heritage with Jesus’ help, and our children started in Pre-K back-to-back. When our oldest began coming home singing “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” we knew we had found something truly special. Our kids are blossoming—not only in academics like cursive writing and math, but also in art and music. They are building strong friendships with classmates and staff. Most of all, their faith is growing through clear teaching from the Word of God. We’re grateful for Heritage and excited for what the years ahead will bring for our family.
