Spring Fever & Growth at HCA

February 28, 2025

“Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.” – Zechariah 10:1

We have had a decent winter—one that we take some pride in complaining about. Of course, those who have seen the winters of old will remind us that this was nothing in comparison. Nonetheless, we are closing the books on another season, and spring fever is beginning to emerge upon our pale brows.

With that in mind, let us not forget to ask the Lord for rain. Each drop that falls belongs to Him. It may or may not come without our asking, but none falls or is withheld apart from His permission. As we pray for the rain, let us also pray for our students, our land, and the work of HCA. May this coming season bring a fresh baptism of hope and growth.

The growth of HCA is truly remarkable. Just as Paul reflects on the ministry of himself and Apollos in the early church, we see the same pattern in our own community:

“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” – 1 Corinthians 3:6

The growth is amazing because, for all our work, it is only given by the Lord. We may be planting and watering the lives of our students, but it is God who brings the increase.

With that in mind, we wanted to provide a quick update regarding the release of the plans for next year. Please note we need a few extra days to finalize our video with updates on next year’s plans. We expect to have everything wrapped up by the end of this week, with the results ready to share soon after.

In the meantime, let’s keep our spring fever in check and prepare our hearts for the growth that is to come!
